Plot summary
In New York City on Christmas Eve, the Muppets each have somewhere else to be: Kermit and Miss Piggy are bound for the Caribbean, Gonzo for Hawaii, Fozzie Bear for a comedy tour. At the post office they hand over their letters to Santa Claus, and a mishap on the conveyor belt sends them back to their apartment building, where Gonzo finds three letters that wound up in his coat, among them one written by Claire, his neighbor. Sam the Eagle warns that opening someone else's mail is not done, and with the post office closed for the holiday, a pigeon delivery service and two Mafia men are tried instead. Gonzo proposes that Kermit, Fozzie, Rizzo the Rat and Pepe the King Prawn come with him to the North Pole to hand the letters over in person.
