Bryan Brown
Biography
Bryan Brown is an Australian actor who has appeared in more than eighty films and television shows, beginning in the late 1970s. His cinema debut came in Scobie Malone (1975), and roles in Newsfront (1978) and Money Movers (1978) preceded Breaker Morant (1980), which made his name internationally and earned him an Australian Film Institute supporting actor award. He was nominated for a Golden Globe and an Emmy for the miniseries The Thorn Birds (1983), and later films include F/X (1986), Cocktail (1988), Gorillas in the Mist (1988), F/X2 (1991), Along Came Polly (2004), Australia (2008) and Gods of Egypt (2016). He also produced several of his films, won a second Australian Film Institute supporting award for Two Hands (1999), and has written crime novels.
