Plot summary
Jack Taylor owns a motel in Eagles Nest, Western Australia, and believes his wife Alice is having an affair with Dylan Smith. After a violent argument between them, he hires Charlie Wolfe, a private investigator who also works as a contract killer, and orders Alice's death once Charlie brings him video proof of the affair. Jack passes on her coming dental appointment with Nathan Webb, a dental surgeon carrying a gambling debt whose wife Lucy works as his receptionist. Charlie is not the only person with an interest in Alice. Before she leaves, Alice slips into Jack's office and robs his safe.
