Allan Corduner
Biography
Allan Corduner is a British actor who was born in Stockholm and grew up in London. He studied English and drama at Bristol University and trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, then spent his first two years as a professional at Newcastle Repertory Theatre. He later joined the Birmingham Rep and the Actors' Company before making his West End debut at Wyndham's Theatre, and he appeared several times at the Royal Court in plays such as Caryl Churchill's Serious Money, which transferred to the West End and Broadway. He drew acclaim on Broadway as Etches in the musical Titanic. His film debut came in Yentl (1983), and he is best known for playing Sir Arthur Sullivan in Mike Leigh's Topsy-Turvy (1999), his first leading film role. Later films include Defiance (2008), Woman in Gold (2015) and Tár (2022). He has also worked in television and radio and voiced Gehrman in the video game Bloodborne.
