Plot summary
Art takes his pregnant wife Claire to Brooklyn to see his father Saul, who runs a Jewish funeral home in a Hasidic community. Art and Saul grew estranged after Art married Claire, who is not Jewish, and Saul hopes to rebuild a relationship with them. Heimish, who works at the funeral home, is suspicious of the visit. Art has his own reason for coming: he needs his father to mortgage the house to save his failing real estate business. He offers to prepare the body of a man who killed himself, and while he works, the amulet the man wore slips through a drain, releasing a demon that begins to haunt Claire.
