Adam Brody
Biography
Adam Brody is an American actor who moved to Hollywood to pursue acting. After training and auditioning, he landed a television film role and a recurring part on Gilmore Girls before his breakout as Seth Cohen on The O.C. from 2003 to 2007. He then built a film career, appearing in Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005), Thank You for Smoking (2005), In the Land of Women (2007), and Jennifer's Body (2009). Later credits include the comedies Seeking a Friend for the End of the World (2012) and Sleeping with Other People (2015), the drama Lovelace (2013), and the thrillers Ready or Not (2019) and Promising Young Woman (2020). He also appeared in Shazam! (2019) and Shazam! Fury of the Gods (2023), starred in The Kid Detective (2020) and the series StartUp from 2016 to 2018, and earned Golden Globe and Emmy nominations and a Critics' Choice Award for Nobody Wants This.
