Plot summary
Jake came to New York City as a student and stayed, trying to make it as an artist. Now he is giving up the city and going back to Ohio. For his last day in Manhattan he wants one more outing with Billy, Rocks and Gunderson, the friends he lived with years ago. Their plan is to walk the length of Manhattan, all 260 blocks, revisiting the places that mattered when they were in their early twenties. The day does not go the way they pictured it. Old conflicts come back up, Jake goes looking for his ex-girlfriend, and each man faces his own crisis of manhood.
