Biography
Steve Blum is an American voice actor known for a distinctively deep voice that has carried him through anime dubbing, animation and video games. Born in Santa Monica, California, he started out in the mail room of a film studio, where he was handed work on a Japanese animation project because of his voice, and he later moved into voice acting full time. Among his anime roles are Spike Spiegel in Cowboy Bebop, Mugen in Samurai Champloo and Roger Smith in The Big O, and in animation he has voiced Amon in The Legend of Korra, Starscream in Transformers: Prime, Zeb Orrelios in Star Wars Rebels and several Ben 10 characters. Video game work includes Tank Dempsey in Call of Duty, Sub-Zero in Mortal Kombat and Ares in God of War, and in 2012 he received a Guinness World Record as the most prolific video game voice actor. He also voiced TOM, the host of Cartoon Network's Toonami block.
