Trailer
Plot summary
Kakamucho is a poor village inhabited entirely by cats, in a land inspired by feudal Japan. It sits beside the giant palace of Ika Chu, a high-ranking official of the Shogun who wants room to expand, and his thugs, led by his second-in-command Ohga, wreck the town to drive its residents out. When the village's samurai flees, Ika Chu answers the call for a replacement with Hank, a dog prisoner awaiting execution, hoping the choice will offend the cats. Hank meets a hostile reception. Jimbo, a catnip-addled samurai, agrees to train him, and the villagers' dislike of dogs stands in his way.
