Plot summary
Catwoman slips into a costume party hosted by Barbara Minerva, believed to lead Leviathan, to steal the Cat's Eye Emerald from Black Mask. She outruns gangsters but Batwoman knocks her out, and Tobias Whale takes the emerald back. Minerva marks Catwoman for murder. Catwoman wakes aboard a plane headed for Shanghai, held by Batwoman and the Interpol agents Julia Pennyworth and King Faraday. They explain that the emerald is a tracking beacon meant to locate Leviathan's leaders, and they offer her amnesty for her past crimes in return for help. Catwoman agrees, then secretly contacts her friend Holly to check on several girls in her care.
