Patrick Bauchau
Biography
Patrick Bauchau is a Belgian actor born in Etterbeek who started in French New Wave cinema, taking roles in two Éric Rohmer films, La Carrière de Suzanne and La Collectionneuse (1967). He also appeared in Wim Wenders' New German Cinema feature The State of Things (1982). His most visible work has been in American television and film, including a main cast role on NBC's The Pretender and HBO's Carnivàle. Among his film credits are Choose Me (1984), A View to a Kill (1985), in which he played Scarpine, The Rapture (1991), The Cell (2000), Panic Room (2002), and Extraordinary Measures (2010). He was considered for Captain Jean-Luc Picard on Star Trek: The Next Generation in 1987, guest starred in Columbo and Murder, She Wrote, played Dr. Hacker in Ray, and appeared in House, Castle, and Burn Notice. In 2007 he led The Gray Man.
