David Clennon
Biography
David Clennon is an American actor who is best known for playing Palmer in John Carpenter's The Thing and for his role as Miles Drentell on the ABC dramas Thirtysomething and Once and Again. He has worked often with directors Hal Ashby, Costa-Gavras, and Jordan Walker-Pearlman. Born in Waukegan, Illinois, he attended Notre Dame from 1962 to 1965 and then spent three years at the Yale School of Drama, after which he joined its professional acting company. On television he had regular roles on WKRP in Cincinnati, Barney Miller, Almost Perfect, Saved, and The Agency, and he appeared as Dr. Crell Moset on Star Trek: Voyager and Carl Sessick on Ghost Whisperer. In 1993 he received an Emmy for a guest spot on Dream On. He also provided the voice of Admiral Motti for NPR's Star Wars radio drama and frequently performs at the Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven, Connecticut.
