Plot summary
David Hoffmann, a detective with the European Police in a Paris of the near future, hunts the Bulgarian human trafficker Dimitri Nicolov with his wife and colleague Sarah. A shoot-out leaves Sarah dead and Hoffmann hurt, and on his return to duty he is paired with Marie Becker, the niece of a senior intelligence officer. The two examine the body of Tatiana, an illegal immigrant with an odd mark beneath one eye and a brain burned by electric shocks. Manon, Professor Brügen's daughter, is a patient at her mother's clinic after a car accident, and she cannot recover her memories.
