Eddy Chandler
Biography
Eddy Chandler was an American film actor who built a long list of screen appearances, with more than 300 films to his credit, most of them uncredited. He was born on March 12, 1894, in Wilton Junction, a small city in Iowa. He served in World War I. Three of the pictures in which he appeared won the Academy Award for Best Picture: It Happened One Night (1934), You Can't Take It with You (1938), and Gone with the Wind (1939). This placed him among actors whose filmographies include multiple Best Picture winners, even though he often worked without screen credit. He died in Los Angeles on March 23, 1948.
