Plot summary
Professor Dexter and Professor Gilmore, working together in a laboratory, first bring a tramp back from four months of frozen sleep, a rehearsal for a harder experiment. They travel to the Arctic and return with a prehistoric man preserved in a block of ice. Revived in the lab, the caveman cannot speak with them and turns violent, breaking out of his holding cell. Dexter concludes that part of the caveman's brain must be swapped for a more developed one so the man can talk and be managed. The donor he chooses is the fiance of Gilmore's niece, Anne. Gilmore answers by drawing a gun on Dexter.
