Megan Mullally
Biography
Megan Mullally is an American actress known for playing Karen Walker on the sitcom Will & Grace. Born in Los Angeles and raised in Oklahoma City, she trained in ballet and acted in Chicago theater before moving to television. She made her television debut in 1986 on The Ellen Burstyn Show and later guest-starred on numerous comedies. For Will & Grace, she won two Primetime Emmy Awards, in 2000 and 2006, and three Screen Actors Guild Awards. After the show, she hosted The Megan Mullally Show from 2006 to 2007 and appeared in Party Down, Childrens Hospital, and Parks and Recreation. Her film credits include Smashed (2012), The Kings of Summer (2013), Why Him? (2016), and Dicks: The Musical (2023). On Broadway, she debuted in the 1994 revival of Grease and later starred in Young Frankenstein. She also performs with the bands Supreme Music Program and Nancy and Beth.

Mullally studied ballet from age six, danced with the Oklahoma City Ballet in high school and trained at the School of American Ballet in New York City.

Mullally sang the song Long John Blues for the 2010 film Burlesque, where it was performed on screen by Kristen Bell.
