Biography

Gal Gadot is an Israeli actress who first gained attention after winning Miss Israel in 2004 and then served as a combat trainer in the Israel Defense Forces. She debuted on television in the Israeli drama Bubot and on film as Gisele Yashar in Fast & Furious (2009), returning to that role in Fast Five (2011) and Fast & Furious 6 (2013). Her breakthrough came as Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016). She starred in the solo film Wonder Woman (2017), which drew positive reviews, and reprised the part in Justice League (2017) and Wonder Woman 1984 (2020). Later credits include Red Notice (2021), Death on the Nile (2022), Heart of Stone (2023), and Snow White (2025), in which she played the Evil Queen. A 2025 Hollywood Walk of Fame star made her the first Israeli actor so honored.

  1. A role that slipped away

    Gadot said she almost quit acting because she was frustrated by constant rejection while auditioning in Los Angeles. She had appeared in several Fast & Furious films and came close to major parts before landing the role.

  2. First role

    Gadot did not get the Bond role, which went to Olga Kurylenko, but she called the experience interesting and asked her agents to alert her to other chances. Two months afterward, she debuted as an actress in the Israeli drama Bubot.

  3. Getting ready for a role

    Gadot spent a month preparing to sing before auditioning for and landing the role of the Evil Queen in Disney's live-action Snow White, and had her own dialect coach for the part.

  4. Own stunts

    In 2013, Gadot came back to the Fast & Furious franchise, playing her character again in Fast & Furious 6, and she did some of her own stunt work in that film.
