Biography

Daniel Craig is an English actor who came up through the National Youth Theatre and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, graduating in 1991, then started out on stage. His breakthrough came with the BBC serial Our Friends in the North (1996), and supporting roles in Elizabeth (1998), Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001), Road to Perdition (2002), Layer Cake (2004) and Munich (2005) raised his profile. He then took on James Bond in Casino Royale (2006), a reboot that critics received well and that brought him a BAFTA nomination, and continued in Quantum of Solace (2008), Skyfall (2012), Spectre (2015) and No Time to Die (2021). Other films include The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011) and Logan Lucky (2017). He has played detective Benoit Blanc since 2019, starting with Knives Out (2019), and starred in Queer (2024), which earned him Golden Globe, Critics' Choice and Screen Actors Guild nominations.
