Biography

Brett Rice is an American actor who works in film, television and theater, best known for parts in movies including Forrest Gump (1994), Remember the Titans (2000), Monster (2003), Super 8 (2011), Foxcatcher (2014) and Sully (2016). Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, he came to acting by chance, when a director at a theater building invited him to audition as he waited for a friend; he won the role and pursued stage work, spending five years auditioning across Atlanta. A part in the television pilot The Catlins brought a two-year contract, and further jobs followed in The Bear and the TV movie Poison Ivy. His screen work runs from Edward Scissorhands and Passenger 57 in the early 1990s to The Waterboy and a co-starring turn as Coach Tyrell in Remember the Titans (2000), plus the series Longmire, where he played Tucker Baggett. He has more than 75 film and television credits.
