A witness is set to testify against a mob boss, but a bomb hidden in a food delivery kills him, and the attorney general gives U.S. Marshal Pat Schiller seventy-two hours to produce evidence. On a prison chain gang, an inmate taunts Luke Dodge, a hacker serving time, and when Charles Piper steps in, the guards chain the two men together. The taunting inmate seizes a gun and a shootout follows, and Piper and Dodge escape. Dodge wants the five million dollars he took by hacking, and Piper asks for half in return for his help.
