John Fiedler
Biography
John Fiedler was an American actor who worked for more than 55 years across stage, film, television and radio. Born in Platteville, Wisconsin, he trained at the Neighborhood Playhouse in Manhattan. Typecast early for delicate, quiet, nerdy types, he also played sneaky villains. He made his film debut as Juror No. 2 in 12 Angry Men (1957), and he originated housing committee representative Lindner in the Broadway A Raisin in the Sun, later repeating the role in the 1961 film. He played Vinnie in The Odd Couple (1968) and was Mr. Peterson on The Bob Newhart Show. For Disney, he was the voice of Piglet from 1966 to 2005, including The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (1977), The Tigger Movie (2000), Piglet's Big Movie (2003), and Pooh's Heffalump Movie (2005). He also voiced characters in Robin Hood (1973), The Rescuers (1977), and The Emperor's New Groove (2000), and his final film voice was Rudy in Kronk's New Groove (2005).

Once out of the Navy, Fiedler settled in Manhattan and studied at the Neighborhood Playhouse. Tony Randall, James Doohan, Leslie Nielsen, Richard Boone and Joanne Woodward were among his fellow students there.
