Plot summary
Roo and his friends wake in the Hundred Acre Wood to a loud trumpeting noise, and Winnie the Pooh, Piglet and Tigger hurry to Rabbit's house for advice. Roo finds a trail of large circular footprints, and Rabbit says a Heffalump made them. Because the wood's inhabitants fear these elephant-like creatures, Rabbit organizes an expedition to Heffalump Hollow to catch them. Roo suggests the trip himself, but Rabbit refuses to let him go because of his age. The next morning Roo sets off alone, meets a young Heffalump named Lumpy who wants to find his own trumpeting call, and invites him to see the Hundred Acre Wood.
