Plot summary
Lindy Lewis used to work as a bouncer and lives with intermittent explosive disorder, which flares when other people irritate her. Dr. Ivan Munchin treats her with an electroshock vest, a treatment that is losing its strength. He suggests she try forming a relationship instead. She goes out with Justin, an accountant, and they get along well. Then he is murdered before their next date. The police work the case step by step; Lindy cannot wait, so she decides to hunt the killer on her own. Detectives Vicars and Nevin are on the case, and she gives them the slip, taking Justin's belongings and driving his car until a crash sends Vicars to the hospital. A hacker named Andy helps her get into Justin's phone.
