Frank Gerstle

Biography

Frank Gerstle was an American actor who built a career in character parts after World War II, playing supporting roles in films, on radio and on television. Born in New York City in 1915, he generally appeared in secondary parts rather than leads. His radio work was part of that career. Among the films in which he was noted was Outside the Wall. On television, he was seen as Ganly, a saloon owner, in A Good Man, an episode of The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp. His last appearance came in San Francisco International, an installment of San Francisco International Airport, which was broadcast on September 29, 1970. Frank Gerstle died in 1970.
