Plot summary
A nuclear scientist, Doug Martin, is reported missing when his aircraft goes down over Soledad Flats while he collects aerial data on an atomic blast. He turns up at the air base unhurt, remembering nothing and carrying a scar on his chest he cannot account for, and his odd behavior afterward is enough that the Air Force brings in the FBI to determine whether he is an impostor. Cleared, he is ordered to take leave and barred from his project. Martin says aliens from a planet called Astron Delta held him captive in an underground base and intend to conquer the Earth, and that they erased his memory of the capture.
