Biography

Miguel Sandoval is an American actor who began working professionally in 1975, when he enrolled at a mime school in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and later performed with its troupe full time. He started making films in the early 1980s with small parts in Do the Right Thing (1989) and Jurassic Park (1993), then took larger roles after Clear and Present Danger (1994), among them Get Shorty (1995), Up Close & Personal (1996) and Blow (2001). He also played major roles for director Alex Cox in Death and the Compass, Three Businessmen and Repo Chick. On television he was a frequent guest and recurring player in shows such as Frasier, ER, The X-Files, Seinfeld and Law & Order, and he played D.A. Manuel Devalos on Medium from 2005 to 2011, later directing episodes of it. He appeared in Bad Judge in 2014 and in Sharp Objects.
