Plot summary
Alex kills for a living, the trade his father Michael taught him, and he has a wife, a young son named Sammy, and a day job besides. He has grown tired of the work. He begins psychotherapy with Dr. Josh Parks and admits what he does, and in the waiting room he meets Sarah Cassidy, 23, quick and edgy. He is drawn to her, and she to him, though she will not take up with a married man. Michael trained Alex from boyhood, starting with a squirrel and moving on to a first human target, and he is not about to let his son walk away from the family business.
