Biography

Dan Fogler is an American actor, comedian, and writer born in Brooklyn. He made his Broadway debut in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and won a Tony Award as featured actor in a musical for playing William Barfée. In the late 2000s he moved into film with roles in Good Luck Chuck (2007), Balls of Fury (2007), Fanboys (2009), Taking Woodstock (2009), and Love Happens (2009). He voiced parts in Kung Fu Panda (2008), Horton Hears a Who! (2008), Mars Needs Moms (2011), and Free Birds (2013). He played Jacob Kowalski in the Fantastic Beasts series, and later appeared in Spinning Gold (2023), A Complete Unknown (2024), for which he earned a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination, and Juliet & Romeo (2025). His television work includes Man Up!, Secrets and Lies, The Walking Dead, The Offer, and House of the Dragon. He wrote and directed Hysterical Psycho (2009) and Don Peyote (2014).
