Plot summary

As a boy at a party, Charlie Logan turned down a girl named Anisha Carpenter, who cursed him so that the next man a girl meets after being with him would be her true love. Charlie is a dentist now, and every woman he has been with has gone on to marry someone else. At the wedding of an ex-girlfriend, she toasts him as her lucky charm, and women start arriving at his practice hoping for a quick encounter. Charlie's best friend Stu, a plastic surgeon, urges him to take advantage of his popularity, but Charlie would rather be a woman's true love. He is drawn to Cam Wexler, who looks after penguins at a marine mammal park and keeps her distance because of his reputation.
