Taylor Negron
Biography
Taylor Negron was an American actor and comedian who also wrote. Born in Glendale, California, and raised in La Cañada Flintridge, he began performing stand-up at the Comedy Store in West Hollywood while still in high school. He worked as an assistant to Lee Strasberg at the Actors Studio and as an intern for Lucille Ball at Sherwood Oaks Experimental College in 1977. His film roles included Albert in Punchline (1988), Milo in The Last Boy Scout (1991), and the part of David in Angels in the Outfield (1994). He appeared in Better Off Dead (1985), River's Edge (1986), Nothing but Trouble (1991), Bio-Dome (1996), and Vamps (2012). On television he guest-starred on Seinfeld, Friends, and Curb Your Enthusiasm, among other shows. He wrote the show The Unbearable Lightness of Being Taylor Negron, which debuted to critical acclaim at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival, and his play Gangster Planet was named a Los Angeles Times Critic's Choice. He died in 2015.

Before he started making films, Negron worked for Lee Strasberg and Lucille Ball, both dramatic and comedic legends. At the Actors Studio, Negron served as Strasberg's assistant through a work-study program.

Negron wrote a 2008 show called The Unbearable Lightness of Being Taylor Negron, a mix of story and song that David Schweitzer, an opera director, directed. It first played at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival in the Green Room.
