Plot summary
Jack Morgan works as a dog therapist and was once known for reading his own dog's mind, and he keeps a canine mind-reading service going without telling his customers that other dogs stay silent to him. Mr. Mooney and his wife arrive with their dog for a session. Unimpressed, Mr. Mooney, who knows the city mayor, says he will have the business closed. After the couple leaves, a wealthy man named Clyde Windsor comes in with his dog, Lucky. Jack reads Lucky's thoughts and is taken aback, and he cuts the session short. Before Windsor goes, Jack tells him that Lucky is troubled by three people who share his home.
