Plot summary
Ellen Andrews is a single mother with a job and a boyfriend, Bill; her daughter Annabelle is in school, with friends of her own. The two of them see their lives and each other very differently and struggle to get along. On a Friday the 13th, a pair of magical amulets puts them into each other's bodies for the day. Bill drives them to Ellen's office, where the new clothing line is waiting to be shown, and Annabelle, in her mother's body, has no idea what to do there. Ellen, in Annabelle's body, gets through a school day among her daughter's friends and sees what Annabelle's life is like.
