Biography

Katharine Isabelle is a Canadian actress who began performing as a child and built a reputation for horror roles, leading to her being described as a scream queen. Born in Vancouver, she started acting at eight in a 1989 episode of MacGyver, then took small parts in television and film before finding fame as Ginger Fitzgerald in Ginger Snaps (2000), a role she returned to in Ginger Snaps 2: Unleashed (2004) and Ginger Snaps Back: The Beginning (2004). She appeared in Disturbing Behavior (1998) and Insomnia (2002), and her lead in American Mary (2012) won her the Fangoria Chainsaw Award for best actress. She also received a Gemini Award for The Englishman's Boy and later played Vera Stone in the Netflix series The Order.
