Plot summary
Amy is finishing a shift at a city morgue and plans to meet friends for her birthday. Holden, her boss, learns that bodies from a mass murder at the Blackwell Hotel are being delivered, so Amy stays to help him and Seth process them, including the corpse of Jacob Goodnight. Her friends Tamara, Kayla, and Carter arrive with her brother Will, and Holden lets them throw a party in the morgue. Will warns Seth to keep away from Amy, and Seth goes back to work. Will then tells Amy he disapproves of her leaving medical school, and she walks out of the party. Tamara, fascinated by serial killers, takes Carter to see Goodnight's body.
