Stuart Pankin
Biography
Stuart Pankin is an American actor who was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and studied at Dickinson College and Columbia University. He performed at St. Vincent Summer Theatre and became known on television for playing Bob Charles, an anchor, on Not Necessarily the News, and for voicing Earl Sinclair on Dinosaurs. His other television roles include Mike Dooley on Nearly Departed and an Orthodox Jew on Curb Your Enthusiasm. His early film work included Dudley Laywicker, an asthmatic musician and magician, in Hollywood Knights. He played Jimmy in Fatal Attraction (1987) and a self-important lawman in Arachnophobia (1990). He was Commander Plank in three Zenon films: Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century (1999), Zenon: The Zequel (2001), and Zenon: Z3 (2004). In Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves (1997) he was the brother of Wayne Szalinski. For IMAX theaters, he played an absent-minded professor in the edutainment 3D films Encounter in the Third Dimension and Misadventures in 3D.
