Plot summary
In Hastings, Minnesota, David Leary spent his elementary school years being tormented by a classmate named Roscoe Bigger, known as Fang for a pointed tooth. When David's parents moved the family away, David told his teachers that Fang had stolen a Moon rock, and Fang was arrested. Twenty-six years later David, a divorced author raising his son Ben alone, accepts an invitation to teach a writing class at his former school. He reconnects with his old flame Victoria, and the librarian Mrs. Rumpert reminds him that he never returned Green Eggs and Ham. After Ben picks on a boy named Kirby, both fathers are summoned to the office of Principal Kokelar, and David meets Kirby's father, Ross Bigger, the same boy from his childhood. Ross knows who he is, and unpleasant pranks follow.
