Plot summary
Jeremy and Kerri are engaged, and the wedding is close when Kerri tells him she wants to call it off, offering no explanation. Jeremy cannot work out what changed. The two of them travel back to New Jersey to sort the relationship out. There Jeremy meets up with Gil and Biscuit, old friends whose pastime is breaking into other people's houses and rearranging the contents to unsettle the owners, a practice that has left one homeowner, Mr. Victim, badly rattled. The three of them drink at a local bar and talk about women and the canceled wedding. Kerri, meanwhile, goes to a lesbian bar with her best friend Marty, who tells her she is pregnant. Shane, a friend of Jeremy's from Las Vegas, arrives for a visit.
