Terry Kiser
Biography
Terry Kiser is an American actor whose work spans more than fifty years and over 140 credits; he is most associated with the title role of Bernie Lomax in Weekend at Bernie's (1989) and Weekend at Bernie's II (1993). Born in Omaha, Nebraska, he studied at the University of Kansas on football and dramatic scholarships, then spent three years as an engineer while appearing in more than fifty amateur plays. In New York, he took small parts in theater, television, and commercials, and by 1967 had won an Obie Award and a Theatre World Award for Fortune and Men's Eyes. A life member of The Actors Studio, he was a regular on the soap operas The Secret Storm and The Doctors and appeared on series such as Three's Company and The Golden Girls. His film credits include An Eye for an Eye (1981), Six Pack (1982), and Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood (1988).
