Squanto: A Warrior's Tale (1994) on Netflix

Plot summary

Squanto is a Patuxet warrior whose people live by hunting along the Atlantic coast and by rivalry with a neighboring tribe. An English ship arrives to scout the region's trade for the wealthy Sir George, and when it sails again Squanto is a captive aboard, along with Epenow, a Nauset from Martha's Vineyard. In Plymouth the two are forced to work for Sir George, the employer of the crew. Squanto is thrown into a ring with a giant grizzly bear, and the fight becomes a spectacle for the onlookers. He sings a Patuxet lullaby to the animal, and the crowd, Sir George among them, watches it fall asleep.
