Sarah Paulson
Biography
Sarah Paulson is an American actress who began working immediately after high school, making her Broadway debut in 1994 as an understudy before appearing in the series American Gothic and Jack & Jill. She became well known through her work with Ryan Murphy, appearing in nine seasons of the anthology American Horror Story from 2011 to 2021 and collecting five Primetime Emmy Award nominations. Her performance as Marcia Clark in The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story earned her the Primetime Emmy for lead actress in a limited series and a Golden Globe. On film, she has moved between supporting roles in What Women Want, Down with Love, and 12 Years a Slave and leading parts in Blue Jay, Glass, and Run. She won the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play for Appropriate.
