Lew Temple

Biography

Lew Temple is an American actor who grew up in Texas and came to screen work after years in baseball, catching in the minors for the Houston Astros and Seattle Mariners, scouting for the New York Mets, and later helping run the Astros' minor league operations and scouting. He has taken many roles in horror, among them Adam Banjo in The Devil's Rejects (2005), Sheriff Winston in the prequel to the Texas Chain Saw Massacre remake, Noel Kluggs in Rob Zombie's Halloween, Marv in Trailer Park of Terror (2008), and Psycho-Head in 31. Elsewhere he played Locus Fender in Domino, a paramedic in Déjà Vu, the diner manager Cal in Waitress (2007), Ned in Unstoppable (2010), and Montgomery Blair in Saving Lincoln. His most notable television part was Axel, a prisoner, on The Walking Dead. In 2015 he received a lifetime achievement award from the Gulf Coast Film and Video Festival.
