Plot summary
Born enslaved, Bass Reeves became the first noted Black deputy U.S. Marshal. Sam Tanner, his former partner, is now a fugitive. The two reunite, and an ex-Union sharpshooter joins them. Together they set out after Jack Donner, who leads a gang of killers, tracking the outlaws to Corsicana, Texas, an oil-rich town. The three men are in a race against time.
