Plot summary

In a desert town in New Mexico, Sailboat lives with his Hispanic family, and money is short. His grandmother is sick in the hospital. Peeti, his friend, is obsessed with soccer, but a disability prevents him from playing the game. Among a pile of junk Sailboat finds a little guitar, really a ukulele, and he learns how to play it.
