Plot summary
Noreen waits tables at a roadside diner where owner Jimmy, regular Hank, officer Lonnie, salesman John, and Billy and Starr, a young couple headed off to elope, are gathered. A radio bulletin reports a family murdered in the next county. An aggressive stranger wearing a black leather jacket walks in, and Noreen, uneasy, asks Lonnie to look into him. Lonnie brushes her off at first, but when he does question the man, the two argue, Lonnie pulls his gun, and he apologizes after learning the vehicle does not match police reports. The man leaves, then returns armed with a shotgun and a pistol, and the people inside become his hostages.
