Kari Wuhrer
Biography
Kari Wuhrer is an American actress, singer, and model who found early television exposure as the host of MTV's Remote Control in 1988. Born in Brookfield, she became a regular on Swamp Thing from 1991 to 1992 and worked as an MTV VJ during that period. On television she played Robin Farr on Class of '96 and Ariel Hunter on Beverly Hills, 90210 from 1994 to 1995, then joined Sliders as Maggie Beckett in 1997 and remained until the series ended in 2000. Her film work includes Thinner (1996) and Anaconda (1997), and she had a supporting role in John Singleton's Higher Learning (1995) before appearing in Eight Legged Freaks (2002). As a singer, she released the album Shiny on Del-Fi Records in 1999, writing most of its songs and playing guitar and flute on several tracks. She also portrayed Agent Tanya in cutscenes for Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 and its expansion pack Yuri's Revenge.

Beyond film
Wuhrer's only album, Shiny, came out in 1999 through Del-Fi Records after she signed a record deal with Rick Rubin. Besides singing, she wrote most of its songs and played guitar and flute on several tracks.
