Plot summary
Bridgette earns her living teaching aerobics at a gym that Adam's father owns, and she is trying to make it as an actress. Adam, who runs the place, is an idle womanizer, and a night with him is followed by her landing a role in a big play. Then she learns that one of her ex-lovers has died of AIDS, and her own HIV status becomes an urgent question. She puts off the test for a while before making the appointment. Around the same time she comes to believe that Adam, the man she has fallen for, is seeing another woman, and she goes to the clinic by herself.
