Plot summary
Batman drives off three orphans who rob a wealthy couple and overpowers the man who mistreats them, Big Bill Dust. In the same city, Jack the Ripper kills Ivy, an orphan who became an exotic dancer and prostitute, along with other poor women. Gotham's citizens believe Batman and Jack are the same man. The actress Selina Kyle accuses Commissioner James Gordon and Chief Harvey Bullock of failing to stop the killings. Bruce Wayne meets Selina at the Monarch Theatre with District Attorney Harvey Dent, and the two grow close at the Dionysus Club.
