Eileen Ryan
Biography
Eileen Ryan was an American actress who began her career on the Broadway stage. Born in the Bronx, she studied at New York University, earning a bachelor's degree, before making her Broadway debut in 1953 in Sing Till Tomorrow, followed five years later by Comes a Day. Both plays had short runs. She then took occasional small roles in television shows during the 1960s and 1970s, including The Twilight Zone and Bonanza. Ryan returned to acting more regularly in 1986 with At Close Range (1986). She went on to appear in Judgment in Berlin (1988), Parenthood (1989), and The Crossing Guard (1995). She also returned to the stage in Remembrance. Her final film role was in Rules Don't Apply (2016). She died in 2022.
