Biography

Ed Skrein is an English actor, rapper and filmmaker who was born in the London borough of Camden and grew up there and in nearby boroughs. He started out in music, releasing an EP in 2004 and his first album, The Eat Up, in 2007, and his earliest screen work came in Plan B's short film Michelle. His first lead came in Plan B's Ill Manors (2012). He played Daario Naharis in the third season of Game of Thrones, then led The Transporter Refueled (2015), taking over from Jason Statham, and his work drew praise even though the film was panned. He became best known as the villain Ajax in Deadpool (2016). His other films include Alita: Battle Angel (2019), Midway (2019), I Used to Be Famous (2022), the two Rebel Moon films (2023 and 2024) and Jurassic World Rebirth (2025). He also wrote and directed the short film Little River Run.
