In 2013, Fisher played boxer Muhammad Ali in the off-Broadway play Fetch Clay, Make Man, staged at the New York Theatre Workshop in New York City. For the part he gained 20 pounds of muscle, going from 193 to 212 pounds.

  2. Early training

Fisher's high school English and history teachers led him into musical theater. He first performed on stage in school productions of Into the Woods, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and Guys and Dolls.

  3. A first

In the 2016 superhero film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Fisher appeared in a cameo as Victor Stone, also called Cyborg. That character was the DC Extended Universe media franchise's first black superhero.

  4. A role that slipped away
